The custom Gretsch*<\/a><\/strong>, with its brittle and direct attack, is ideal for use in more modern productions while the classic three-ply Ludwig*<\/a><\/strong>, with its complex, dark and warm timbre, is the perfect choice in mixes of a more vintage and ambient nature. In addition, the EZX includes a broad selection of extra kicks, snares and cymbals<\/strong>, allowing you to mix, match and design your own hybrid kits as you go.<\/p>\n

To top off, the Hard Rock EZX features a collection of mix-ready presets encompassing a wide tonal range and mix of styles. Completed in 1886 and originally meant to serve as a supply warehouse, the two-story brick structure on the southeast corner of Powell and Columbia in downtown Vancouver, BC, once known as the Oppenheimer Building today hosts one of the world\u2019s best and most advanced recording studios. The main hall, with its hard brick walls and dense wooden floors, is a marvel of acoustic engineering and the perfect ambience for recording loud, reverberant but still controlled and subtly detailed drums.<\/p>\n

While Metallica\u2019s groundbreaking \u201cBlack Album\u201d may be one of the more commonly known works in his discography, Bob Rock\u2019s engineering and producing credits stretch all the way back to the late \u201970s and include some of the best selling acts in rock history: Survivor, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce, Bryan Adams and many, many more. In all of his productions, a common denominator is phenomenally engineered and mixed drums. In fact, his work with Metallica and M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce may very well have set a new standard as to how we mix drums to sit in a mix.
