Traditional New Orleans music is a living blend of jazz, blues, funk, soul, brass, gospel and Creole traditions. Born in 1970 and schooled in the New Orleans second-line tradition of groove, Terence had no shortage of inspiration growing up. Drummers like Baby Dodds, Earl Palmer, Smokey Johnson, Charles “Hungry” Williams, Shannon Powell, James Black and many more virtually transformed the art of the groove and made New Orleans one of the most vibrant groove capitals in the world. Carrying that torch, Terence represents the next generation of drummers, ensuring that the city\u2019s authentic blend of slinky street beats, funk, R&B, Zydeco, blues and jazz continues to thrive.<\/p>\n
